It has been a crazy Monday (already)!

5 hours straight of cleaning every nook of the house for a very important guest!

Every other thing was jumping for my attention and my mind was running at least a 100km/h!

I dashed off for an interview at 4pm.. N thank God! I've got it! Good pay+its in Uni+flexible working hours! :D

Another interview and some packing to do before I can finally heave a sigh of relief!

It had been a great weekend filled with lots of fun!

Saturday started with a kitesurifing lesson! Its definitely harder than it looks and even the training kite was almost pulling me off the sand! Fish n' chips for lunch, afew hours at the beach and helping Eug move house. More movinghouse till 9-ish. Coffee with Grace and Paul (the married couple- before they fly off the next day).

Sunday started in a flurry.. Eug insisted on hanging his laundry before fetching the college students to church, despite the tight timing we had.. So, rush through the hanging of laundry, fetch 3girls from diff places, drive swiftly to church to reach on-time. Phew* Church service ended with lots of ra-ra-ing to do. There were 9(!!) college students who came today. Ha.. from 4 people to 6 to 7 to 9! Woah! It was quite a challenge to coordinate them to the different cars and to finally go to Fremantle for the famous Fish n' Chips though... but, the afternoon went smoothly and, beautifully!

More housemoving.. Second-hand-furniture shopping. Eug n i happened to see an Ad at about 530pm for a garage sale which was supposed to end by 5pm today. We decided to go anyways.. Imagine my utter surprise when i see Mr. Koh (AJ's PE HOD) at the door!

I knew Mr. Koh has migrated to Perth through a (totally random and) coincidental meeting with Ms Ong last Christmas. Ms Ong gave me Mr. Koh's Aust hp number but i accidentally lost it when my V3 died. I was so frustrated with the loss of the number because its always good to stay connected with people you know while being overseas.. in that frustration, i just prayed that, IF i should get to know Mr. Koh, somehow... God will bring us to meet again. :D I'm so happy to be connected with Mr. Koh and his family! All through some miraculous connection!

A good Viet dinner with great conversation and fellowship just topped the weekend with a great ending!

Next week is starting with some very important job interviews, some catching up with close friends, finishing up my last summer assignment.

The coming semester is going to be quite radically different from the past semesters. I'm expecting myself to be stretched to the max. Manymany changes are coming up as well... All for the better though. :) At least, I believe that the most important thing is simply,

obedience.

I'm picking my battles to fight.

I get so discouraged and frustrated(!!) with some people sometimes. Saying things without realising the impact on others. Who am i to judge ay? But i was so hurt and angry tears spring to my eyes with my adrenaline pumped up for "Fight or Flight" instantly.

I am such a person.
Quick-tempered.
I get angry instantly and then the rage leaves the moment after that.

Anyway, i decided to let it go.

It was certainly not worth my fight.

So, my summer in Perth.

With lots of sun, meeting lots of new College students (more Singaporeans!), catching up and hanging out with old friends, Professional Writing class, cleaning the house, chilling out with my new Aussie friends, exercising 3 times a week, having some good friends stopping over at Perth.

I like to summarise my life in afew words.

Cos if i am to rattle on about the little details of my everyday life (believe me, i like to do that), I will never be done typing it out.

A few things happened over summer:

1. Candy resumes to her cheerful self!

2. I've become a big jie-jie to the College newbies!
Ha.. I'm realy glad (and relieved) that they really enjoyed cell last night! Before that, there were so much apprehension whether they'll feel too young to join us.. cos our oldest member is 26 and the youngest newbie is 17. The age gap proved not to be a problem though.. :) We played our zone's favourite icebreaker game, MAFIA! It was a blast! :)

Helping them get grounded in church, cell and Perth is the next thing i'd going to do! :)

3. A bad experience about not knowing how to say "NO."
I was walking along the street oneday this week when a man smiled and greeted me "G'day." Since its Australia (ay), i smiled back. This man then walked next to me and asked me some casual questions like, "How's your day?" "So, are you a student" rah-rah-rah.. At the end of it, he asked for my number. Being a person who can't say "NO", i gave him my number. Then, he looked me straight in the eyes and said "I would really want to have coffee with you someday."

OH MY! WHAT HAVE I DONE!

I walked away feeling really stupid.

Especially since, this man is old enough to be my dad.
(Yes, yes.. i have realised my ultimate folly..)

So, i thought i can reverse my folly by not picking up any foreign numbers.

Yet, lo and behold, he called with a Withheld number and I thought it might be a call from Singapore. Thank God i was in the library and that bought me a good excuse to put down the phone swiftly.

Anyway, when all is said and done.... I have to learn this BIG lesson and learn to say "NO!"

4. Baby Joseph is born!
A pregnant lady from Singapore rented my friend's room over summer as she's an Australian PR and she'd want to give birth to her child in Australia to make him an immediate citizen. As she stays next door and she's an ex-SCGS girl as well, i got acquainted to her and her husband quite quickly. I've learnt from them what it means and takes to be a young married couple, the anxiety of a first child, the binding of a husband and wife through their children and being connected with the top people to always be in the know.

5. Good chats with Brother Joshua n Jan last month! :) Talking to them were such God-appointed timings to help clear my much-clogged mind up! :)

Reality check: One month has already passed in 2007!! Some of the things i'd planned for this year have yet to commence!

Time to get some engine moving! :P
