Mountains... remind me of the song,

"Faith! I can move the mountains,
I can do all things through Christ,
I know

Faith! Standing and believing
I can do all things through Christ,
Who strengthens me!"

Perhaps its all part of God's plan.

Falling miserably ill over the whole weekend made me stay at home this Sunday... so, I finally had the chance to watch CHC Sunday service online.

Pastor Kenneth's message on Mountains in Our Lives is so powerful (especially since I was coughing and sneezing throughout the whole service.)

I think part of my growing up entails "Facing up to Reality."

Many times in the past, i felt that I can do Everything.. nothing can defeat me and I won't quit. Ever.

Over the past few years since I'd been away from home, I'd learnt many things. Some things I had learnt in a hard way. Some things taught to me in grace and love. No matter what, subtly, many parts of me have changed, my thinking and views about things in life.

The pride that I once held, being able to do everything myself, being able take care of everyone has mellowed to a humble realisation that I'm only human. I have limitations to my abilties. I have only 24 hours a day (although i always joke that God gives me 48 hours a day).

Falling sick this time is just another reminder that I do have a CAP to the things I can do.

I realised I'm not strong afterall. I seldom share of my weaknesses. Even to the closest around me, I seldom share of my heart.

I realised I can't love fearlessly.

I realised I fear men more than God, thus I'm always seeking the approval from Men (such as my parents) instead of feeling secured in God.

Today, I realised that my firmly-held belief can still hold..
"I cannot be defeated; I will not quit"
if,
I continue to hook closely to the Word of God!

That's it.

I have decided to be a cat.

I just read a Garfield comic strip and I am SO ENVIOUS!

He is just lazing around on a rainy Sunday afternoon, moving from couch to couch, one cozy corner to the next.

Whenever he wants food, he just stares at Jon. The loving master just swops up food for (a cute, but otherwise utterly useless) Garfield.

Garfield bullies Odie, refuses to catch any rats, disturbs the pet-sitters, does nothing but sit, sigh and eat.

What life!

I think it might be very nice to be fed (without having to slog for it), to be veryvery loved and sheltered, without worrying for the cares of the world.

SIGHs..

its just too bad i'm not a cat...

As usual, Easter has been a special time for me.

I got integrated into City Harvest Church on Easter 2001!

This year, i went for en Encounter church camp over the Easter break.

It was a time of cleansing, refreshing, re-empowering, getting to know more church friends from other zones and playing crazy games! Check out this game where i got dunked into a gross mixture of egg, flour, water and other disgusting stuff! Ha!
